Five Generations. One Room. How Do You Make Sure Every One of Them Hears You?
The framework I've been building for 25 years finally has a name. Plus, a client launch you should know about.
Here is a question I have been asking leadership teams for the last two years.
“When your brand shows up, who in your audience is actually listening, and who is tuning out?”
Most cannot answer it. Not because they do not care, but because the old playbook was not built for what is happening right now. Five generations are in the same room. Same boardroom. Same newsroom. Same customer base. Each one brings different expectations about communication, authority, and trust. One message, one tone, one voice does not land across all of them anymore. And the cost of getting it wrong is bigger than ever.
That is the gap I have spent 25 years learning how to close. It finally has a name.
Introducing Cultural Cohesion and Generational Intelligence™

Cultural Cohesion is the framework. Generational Intelligence™ is how we apply it. Together, they are the most honest answer I have to the most common question I get from corporate, government, and nonprofit leaders: how do we reach everyone in the room without sounding like we are trying to reach everyone in the room?
Cultural Cohesion treats generational and cultural complexity as a strategic asset, not a diversity checkbox. It is a proprietary approach to communications that turns the differences in your audience into alignment around your brand. Not DEI theater. Not a one-off heritage month campaign. A real architecture for how your message moves through a multi-generational, multicultural market.
Generational Intelligence™ is the applied side. Immersive workshops and advisory for leadership teams learning how five generations actually communicate, trust, and decide. Built for the boardroom, not the break room.
This is the work I have been delivering to Fortune 500 brands, federal agencies, and mission-driven nonprofits for two decades. What is new is that it is now named, codified, and packaged. You can see it on the new site at xinapr.com. You will notice I have been signing work as X+PR for a while now. Same firm, same founder, sharper positioning.
Try this: Pull up your last campaign or press release. Read it out loud. Can you name which generation it was written for? If the answer is “everyone,” that usually means no one. That is the gap Cultural Cohesion is built to close.
And for the readers of this newsletter specifically, PR for 50+ lives inside this practice. Your 50+ audience is not a niche. They are two of the five generations with the most buying power, influence, and institutional memory in every room that matters. Cultural Cohesion is the reason I will never stop advocating for you.
A Launch Worth Your Attention: Head Above Water: 5-Minute Animated Film
On March 25, at Luminary in New York, we launched Head Above Water: Our Economy Cannot Afford to Lose Her in partnership with Working for Women.
It is an animated short film and a full campaign, and it does something most economic storytelling still refuses to do. It puts a human face on the financial tightrope so many workers walk every day. People doing everything right and still struggling to keep the lights on and food on the table.
This is Cultural Cohesion in practice. A PR service with a sharp point of view. A creative product that earns attention. A launch moment that brought funders, policy leaders, media, and the women the film is actually about into the same room. Every generation in that room heard a different layer of the story, and every one of them left with the same call to action.
If you lead a brand, foundation, or organization with a story that matters and an audience that spans generations, this is the work. Narrative strategy that lands. Reputation stewardship that protects what you are building. Media relationships that open real doors.
